Writing is what I love to do most if I am honest. Just to put pen to paper or its more modern equivalent of typing onto a keyboard is what makes me tick. It is important to do what you like best, I think you would agree. I have written poetry and self-published a number of books, mostly poetry but some fiction as well, and I have enjoyed finding out how to go about producing, promoting and selling my literary efforts. I have had some limited success but have also learnt an awful lot and one of the things I have come to realise is that writing the actual piece is only the start of things. The hard work starts when you actually want a few people to take notice of your carefully crafted outpourings.
More recently I have started being seriously engaged in maintaining a number of blogs. I have always loved building and setting up new websites and I really like reaching out by writing regular posts on my blogs. I like to think that I am able to provide some decent content and entertain my readership with my scribblings.
After the debacle with that giant dominant search engine taking away people’s pagerank just because they were making some money with their blogs in a way that did not directly benefit them, some people have been wanting another way of ranking a blog’s popularity.
