Sounds a bit like a novelty singing duo: 'Tonight for one night only: Bangers and Mash!'. But seriously, we enjoyed a nice lunch of sausages and mashed potatoes and once again it struck me just how undeserved it is that English cuisine should have such a bad reputation. I find most typical English dishes very nice indeed. Good hearty food that tastes great with a pint of Bitter. What more do you want?
