A friend of mine whom I don't get to see very often is currently quite successful as an author. She has been offered a publishing deal and she receives lots of invitations to speak at conferences and festivals. I am very happy for her as she deserves the success she is currently experiencing. I often wondered if I could speak in public if asked to do so. I'm not so sure. I think I lack some basic level of confidence but then some say that anyone can learn to speak well in public. Who knows? I'll keep scribbling on regardless..
